Second Grade

Second graders will continue to develop basic computer skills using the Type to Learn  and Scholastic Keys programs. This year they also will be introduced to the basics of research. Students will learn how to complete simple note cards using a variety of refererence materials which include books, encyclopedias, and guided Internet sites. They will  then complete a PowerPoint presentation on the the animal they chose to research. Unlike kindergarten and first grade, students will no longer use a template, but will  complete the actual project from scratch.

At this time, second graders are working on their animal PowerPoint projects. They are in the process of entering information and will soon ne entering graphics and getting it presentation ready.
