This year, the seventh grade will be using a new online curriculum called Digital Literacy and Citizenship. The program focuses on making students responsible and savvy navigators of the digital world. The curriculum:

Introduces reliable, research-based information about digital media
Helps students explore the complex issues of our connected culture
Empowers students to build digital literacy skills for life

Lesson activities range from low-tech options such as discussion and written assignments to media-rich videos and online activities. They focus not only on keeping kids safe, but on ethics and behavior as well as research skills. The curriculum emphasizes skill building, critical thinking, ethical discussion, and decision making  using real-life situations.

You can find additional parent information about this program at commonsense.com.

Additional information about individual assignments will be posted  throughout the semester.
