Information Literacy Standards

1. Students who are information literate access information efficiently and accurately. 2. Students who are information literate evaluate information critically and competently. 3. Students who are information literate use information accurately and creatively. 4. Students who are independent learners are information literate and pursue information related to personal interests. 5. Students who are independent learners are information literate and appreciate literature and other expressions      of information. 6. Students who are independent learners are information literate and strive for excellence in information      seeking knowledge generation. 7. Students who contribute positively to the learning community and to society are information literate and recognize      the importance of information to a democratic society. 8.
